JEFF ON THE ISSUES
WORKING TO ENSURE AN ENJOYABLE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR TODAY...AND TOMORROW.
Jeff is running for Nassau County Commissioner District 3 because he understands that steadfast, forward-thinking leadership is critical for taking Nassau County into the next decade. Jeff is committed to promoting growth and infrastructure improvements that will not only improve the quality of life for the people and businesses of Nassau County but will also lay the foundation for a stronger, more prosperous future.
This can only be accomplished through detailed planning and smart management of growth projects and initiatives.
JEFF'S STRAIGHT-FORWARD PLAN
+ Attract businesses that will create high-wage jobs for our citizens
+ Incentivize industry to make investments in infrastructure projects that benefit all
+ Work with the School Board to ensure our district remains A-rated
+ Promote vocational education programs to teach work skills to our county's youth
+ Promote growth projects that improve the quality of life of Nassau County citizens with protecting personal property rights
+ Work with new developments to create recreational opportunities
+ Improve roads & drainage across the county
PROACTIVE PLANNING =
Attracting the right type of growth will lead to job creation and new opportunities for recreation and entertainment. When we make these investments in our county, people can live and work here. This keeps more money in the county.
Jeff is also committed to diversifying Nassau County's tax base. The continued reliance on residential properties to generate the majority of tax revenues won't get the job done.
Nassau County must make the necessary investments to attract a wider cross-section of commercial and industrial investors to the county. This will help spread the tax burden among a larger population and will lead to infrastructure improvements, increased access to critical county services, and help make Nassau County a place where people can earn a living, raise a family, and enjoy life.
In order to get this done, Jeff will engage the public & all stakeholders during critical phases of planning.
Listening to the concerns and ideas of the people, and taking decisive action will be the only way we truly move forward as a county.
